A Note from the Directors
Hello SFX Parents!
We are thrilled to announce auditions for our Spring Musical, Willy Wonka Jr.!
Each year, we strive to improve our program, and are excited to announce some exciting changes this year.
Students who are not working on stage will always be occupied in ways that are tied to the theatre. We are proud to offer a variety of classes and activities in addition to the wildly popular Creation Station! Miss Danielle, along with a fabulous assistant, will lead the students in dance and acting classes, costume design, crafts, set design, and more!
Additionally, we want our students to be as comfortable as possible. Therefore, we are adding some extra rehearsals before show week, so they feel prepared and ready to shine their brightest!
Each child should have a chance to be seen, so we will be adding a cap of 60 students this year. Registration will be first-come/first-served, so be sure to get your registration in ASAP!
Each child has a place in telling the story, and we strive to make sure that each role is special, even adding lines, songs, and stage time. We are looking forward to putting together our team, and working toward our final goal: an awesome show!
In this week's family envelope is a list of all the characters in our Willy Wonka Jr. production and the registration form.
See you at the theater,

Message from School Tool Box:
Thanks to your school’s participation in this year’s school supplies program with School Tool Box, we have donated enough meals to our partner charity, Feed My Starving Children, to feed more than 319 children for a year. Starving children do not have an opportunity to learn until their basic needs are met. These meals make a profound difference in the lives of children around the world.
We could not have done this without you! As a gesture of our appreciation for your participation in this program, we have included a Certificate of Appreciation. Displayed from the School Office. Your school has made a difference in the lives of hundreds of children.
Thank you!

Thanksgiving Food Drive

The Thanksgiving Food Drive for the Burbank Temporary Aid Center produced an over abundant amount of food filling six, over-sized grocery baskets! The Volunteers at BTAC were super excited to see staples such as peanut butter, soups, and breakfast items. Thank you to everyone who supported this great cause. St. Francis Xavier truly embraces the meaning of service. Please know that you have brightened the lives of many! You have made a difference right here in Burbank!

jogathon

Jog-A-Thon Report

The St. Francis Xavier Jog-A-Thon is a festive annual fundraiser that encourage sstudents and parents alike to stay fit! The jog is held in the lower parking lot and lasts a total of one hour (45 minutes for the younger grades & an extra 15 minutes for the older grades). Students are sponsored to run laps, raising funds for the school and helping to pay for a trip to the Happiest Place In The World: Disneyland!!!!
Every Jog-A-Thon begins with the American national anthem, sung by members of the graduating 8th grade class. The 36th Annual Jog-A-Thon was kicked off by the singing talents of 8th grade students Jeanluc Fournier, Ella Chaisson, Kaylene Zepeda, and Fiona Handy. After the national anthem comes a prayer led by the pastor of Saint Francis Xavier Church, followed by the start of the jog. Within the hour we are given to jog, participants are sprayed with cooling mist and given water to drink. Parents usually accompany their kids in jogging, allowing all to have fun!
Once the jog is over, everybody is invited to partake in fresh food and drink,
including burgers and coffee! Plus, with the Scholastic Book Fair rolling around at the same time, you can go ahead and buy some books to read. The 36th Annual J-A-T was incredible fun, and we hope everyone had a great time!!!!
