March PTO General Meeting 2017

Church Contributions for Participating Rate of Tuition

Dear Parents,
This is a reminder that after the finance council’s announcement last week to increase church contributions from $1000 to $1200 for the 2017/2018 school year, that change goes into effect this week. If you donate $20.00 per week you will now want to start donating $23.00 whether you do this in a weekly envelope or electronically. If you donate $80.00 per month you will want to increase that contribution to $100.00. To prevent making a large sum payment later you will want to adjust your contributions starting this week.

Book Exchange

The SFX BOOK EXCHANGE is back!
Monday, March 27-Wednesday, March 29
What is it? This is a great way to de-clutter your gently used children’s books or cookbooks (NO ADULT BOOKS PLEASE) and stock up on “new” books for your readers for just $.50 per book!
Where is it? It will be held in CABRINI HALL
What hours will it be open? We will be open on Monday at recess for those with early access* then classrooms will visit during the remainder of Monday and Tuesday. We will be open to individuals on Monday at lunch and after school; Tuesday during recess, lunch, and after school; and Wednesday at recess and lunch. We will close after lunch on Wednesday so don’t miss out.
Who benefits from the Book Exchange? Anyone who wants to de-clutter and get fantastic “new” books to read will benefit!
Who receives the proceeds? This is one of the BEST parts! Our SFX library will receive all the money to buy new books for our kids to enjoy and to improve the library.
Who receives Early Access? Any student who donates ten books or more will be able to come to the Exchange on Monday at recess to get the first pick. In addition, for every ten books s/he donates, s/he will get to choose one book for FREE!! When you donate, please have your child’s name and grade somewhere on the bag so we can get her/him the tickets for free books s/he deserves. We’ll accept books from March 13-24. There will be boxes placed in the hallway outside the library and computer room in the lower building or bring them to Cabrini at drop off on Monday, March 27.
Who do I contact if I want to HELP (we need volunteers) or have questions? You can contact Nicole Taylor at Nicole.antoun.taylor@gmail.com or call 818-515-9613. You can text me too just leave your name please.

Need PSA hours before February 28th for this year? As this deadline is fast approaching, please donate prize items to Bowlapalooza.

The Fourth Annual St. Francis Xavier Bowlapalooza is Friday March 31, 2017 at Pickwick Bowl from 7-9pm.
This event is for the whole family. We need raffle prizes for kids and adults. You will receive 1 hour for every $25.00 donated. You can donate as many prizes as you like! If we receive your donation before February 28, you can still receive PSA hours for the 2016-2017 school year. For prizes donated after February 28, PSA hours will be awarded towards the 2017-2018 school year.

You can deliver your donations to Rita Recker in the Parish Office. If you’d like to volunteer for this event and earn PSA hours for the 2017-2018 school year, please contact Lina Chaisson or Clark McKnight.
